Volunteering

Be a Volunteer

Some of the most valuable resources that we have are our many volunteers. Volunteers play a key role in our day-to-day operation. There are many volunteer opportunities available, and all training is provided to interested persons. Our volunteers provide both direct and indirect services. Some opportunities available to direct service volunteers include answering our crisis line and providing shelter monitoring. Indirect services include doing office work such as copying, typing, and various other things. We also have volunteers who organize and promote fund-raisers and/or special events in the community.

How Can I Become a Volunteer?

FCC volunteers are generally 18 years of age or older. All volunteers are required to follow strict rules of confidentiality. Potential volunteers are asked to fill out a volunteer application and set a time for an interview. All volunteers who assist with direct services are required to complete three 8 hour trainings which are provided by FCC.
