Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence is a pattern of controlling behavior which involves physical, sexual, economic, emotional, and/or psychological abuse. It affects people in all social, economic, racial, religious, and ethnic groups whether they are married, divorced, living together, or dating. Domestic violence is a crime even when committed by someone you love. Family Crisis Centers services men, women, and children whose lives are affected by the mental, emotional, and/or physical effects of domestic violence.
If your place of employment is interested in sponsoring a “denim day” for Domestic Violence awareness in May or Sexual Assault Awareness in April, please give us a call 1-800-382-5603
